Lowell Allison Wright Sr., 87, departed this life on Saturday, November 19, 2011. He was born September 8, 1924, in Columbus, son of the late Allison and Ella White Wright. In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Margaret Roberts Wright, daughter, Ruth Seeger; sisters, Shirley Joyner and Charlene Hopper. He served in the Navy during WWII and retired from Plastering after 40 years of service. Lowell is survived by his daughters, Mary (Dan) Barr and Dianne (Wayne) Van Meter; sons, Lowell Wright Jr. and David (Nancy) Wright; sisters, Lois (Ernie) Laws and Ladonna Dingess; brother Herb Wright; 11 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, 11:00-1:00 PM at Genoa Baptist Church, 7562 Lewis Center Rd. Westerville, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Honor Flight Columbus, 2185 Ridgecliff Rd. Columbus, OH 43221.
