Lucy E. Lauer (Fleming), 74, resident of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lucy (Smoot) Fleming, her husband of 38 years, Walter E. Lauer and an aunt, Mary Congleton. She is survived by two daughters, Dormee' (James) McGruder and Jacinda "Jaci" (Dan) Goings, son, Fredrick E. (Michelle) Lauer, sister-in-law Eleanora Lauer, cousin, James (Regina) Congleton, six grandchildren: Brad, Nick, Justin, Erik, Andrew and Katelyn, and three great grandchildren: Isaac, Jacob and Ethan. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 30th, 2010 at 5:00 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your local (no kill) animal shelter in honor of Lucy.
