Called home on the 6th day of February, 2021, Luther Wayne "Buster" Kimble, Jr. born January 27, 1934 in Colton, West Virginia. At the age of seventeen with his Grandmother's signature, Luther joined the United States Army. Deployed to Korea
from 1952 through 1953 as part of the 9th infantry regiment-2nd infantry division. He fought on the infamous Pork Chop Hill rising to the rank of Corporal and earning the Purple Heart for shielding another soldiers body with his in combat and was
wounded. He was also awarded a Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, U.N. Service Ribbon, Korea War Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Survived by his life partner of 29 years, Charles Pritchard of Columbus, Ohio. Siblings:
Marie Long of Lorain, Ohio, brothers, Alfred Kimble and Billy Joe Kimble both of Elyria, Ohio. His children, James Kimble of Wahpeton, North Dakota, Linda Gramsky of Transfer, Pennsylvania, Johnny Kimble and David Kimble of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
