Lynn Carol (Gray) Mielke, age 76, passed away on January 13, 2024. Lynn had a life-long relationship and deep faith in Jesus Christ, and she shared God's love by both discipleship and by the way that she lived her life. She was a kind, loving, sweet, and generous person who was known as a genuine friend. She loved life, loved to laugh, and made special memories with those who knew and loved her. To her family Lynn was an example of a woman described in Proverbs 31.
"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over affairs of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." Proverbs 31:25-29
Lynn's legacy will live on through her family, and the memories of those who had the opportunity of knowing her. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandma, cousin and friend. She will be missed by those same people, but will be reunited with them one day in Heaven.
She was born on August 8, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Richard D. Gray Sr. and Margaret R. Gray (Kilbourne). She is preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Richard D. Gray Jr., and Peggy A. Nance. Lynn is survived by her loving husband, John R. Mielke Jr.; children, Amy (Richard) Jackson, John R.
