Mabel Davis

Mabel "Mae" (Cantrell) Davis, born December 31, 1951, left to be with her Lord on January 3, 2004. Mae worked for the General Electric Company in Worthington for the last 27 years. She will be sadly missed by her family and the many friends she made through life's journey, but we rejoice in the knowledge that she will find peace and contentment with Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ. Preceded in death by parents Hallick and Polly Cantrell of Morgan County, KY, sisters Prudie Cantrell, Versie Cantrell, Bertha Cantrell and Patsy (Cantrell) Wright, and brothers J.C. Cantrell, J.B. Cantrell and Lee Cantrell. She is survived by her husband, Jim Davis of New Albany, daughter Christy (Lonnie) Simpson- Bradley of Mississippi, son Joel (Tammy) Simpson of Florida, daughter Nicki Valdez of Westerville, daughter Heather Nafzger of New Albany, seven grandchildren; stepsons Luke & Andy Davis of Pickerington, Matt (Adhara) Davis of Columbus, sisters Gladys (Dave) Davis of Marion, Ruth (Bruce) Evans of Troy, Lou (Elmer) Farris of Lore, Gertrude (Hank) Hunt of Marion; brothers Chester Cantrell of Troy, David (Teresa) Cantrell of Ky, Johnny (Freda) Cantrell of Delaware, Orville Cantrell of Ky, parents-in-law James & Helen Davis of Columbus; sister-in-law Becky Tipple of Wyoming, and Dee Blankenhorn of IN; many nieces and nephews and other family members. Visitation is Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME 3047 East Dublin Granville Road. Columbus. Funeral service 10 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
