Manuela B. "Ellie" Green, 71, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 after a long and courageous battle. Born November 5, 1941 in Glendale, California to the late Sesreno and Julia (Crisosto) Ortega.
Ellie worked at Riverside Methodist Hospital for 9 years in labor and delivery.
She is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, H. Neal Green, whom she married December 13, 2000; daughters, Audra Bevenue-Whitaker, Rebecca Turner, Rachelle (Brian) Mettert, Rocky (Roderick) Rich; son, Antonio (Debbie) Whitaker; sisters, Dorthea J. Ortega, Rosale Ortega; brother, Thomas Ortega; 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, Ohio, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services, from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
