MaraVon (Momma Mary) Wolford, 59, of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. Born to the late Paris and Christine (Johnson) Thompson, MaraVon is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Opal and Imalee, and 1 brother, Arnold. Survivors include her companion Rick Young; daughters, MaraVon (Phil) Wolford and Frankie Christine Wolford; son, Chad (Katie) Wolford; foster daughter, Marjorie Wilson; sisters, Shirleen Wells, Linda Rowland, Shirley Dorman; brother, Michael Thompson; grandchildren, Toni Marie, Phil, Tyler, Rylie "Pie", Chazarae, Zoe, Lola, Milo; many life long friends including Sue Castle and Cindy Browning. Momma Mary was a mother to many of the neighborhood children with Tim Hall, Aaron Beckhon, Eugene Crum, Tony Tantarelli being just a few of her "boys". Mary will be missed by all but forgotten by no one. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, from 5-8PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the funeral service being held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at the funeral home.
