Marcia Dennis

Marcia Dennis, age 62, of Westerville unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2023. She was born on August 16, 1960 to the late James Franklin and Margaret Franklin Lyons. In addition to her parents, Marcia is preceded in death by her brother, Jamie Franklin and step-father, Lawrence Lyons.

Marcia is survived by her daughter, Alicia Cotton of Columbus; grandchildren, Joseph Cotton, Lillyan Cotton; brothers, Jeff (Peggy) Franklin of Galloway, Mike (Teri) Franklin of Sunbury; sister, Michelle (Philip) Johnson of Fort Myers, Florida; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved dearly. Marcia was loved by many friends whom she thought the world of.

Marcia was employed at Sedgwick for over thirty years. She loved shopping, decorating with butterflies and recently had picked up crafting for enjoyment. She was a devoted mom and Memaw and always thought the sun rose and set with them. Marcia was a beautiful person with a heart of gold and will be dearly missed.

Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not.

Family and friends are welcome to gather from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Vista Community Church, 7349 Worthington-Galena Road, Worthington 43085. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the church.
