Marcus Salyer, 75, of Grove City passed away Monday, April 5, 2010 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1935, in Blaine, KY, son of the late Minyard and Beulah Williams Salyer. He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Salyer; son, Marcus L. Salyer; daughters, Lisa (Joseph) Knoblauch and Anne-Marie Salyer; brothers, Rothert and Ralph Salyer; sisters, Viva Hylton, Faye DeLong and Lydia Batsakis; grandchildren, Jessica, Alissa, Nicholas, Alexander, Alexis, Nathan, Ryan, Emily and Gabriel. In addition to his parents, Marcus was preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Salyer and sister, Madeline VanCulin. Visitation will be Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Friday, April 9, 2010 at 1:30 PM at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to "The Largest Table" c/o/ St. Johns United Church of Christ 59 E. Mound St Columbus, OH 43215.
