Mardell Louise Kurucz entered into rest May 1, 2013 Huntington Beach, California. Mardell lived the life of an adventurer and on her own terms, moving to California at age 90 to enjoy the sunshine.
Preceded in death by her cherished husband, Louis J. Kurucz, her adored children Gerald and Nancy, her beloved siblings Ben, Alice and Arby. Mardell will be greatly missed by her loving family: daughter, Donna Meyer, her grandchildren Sheryl Meyer, Laurel Stokes, Rick Meyer, Kraig Kurucz, Kayla Kurucz, Kara Kurucz, Jerry Lee Kerr, 11 great grandchildren and two great great
grandchildren and extended family & friends.
Mardell was the daughter of Montana & Myrtle Ivy Meechy and the granddaughter of Buckskin Ben Stalker.
Mardell loved to regale her grandchildren and great grandchildren with her stories of life in a Wild West Show with cowboys & Indians, sharp shooters, knife acts, trick horses and dogs".
She traveled the country as part of her parents and grandfather's Wild West Shows & enjoyed nothing more than a good road trip til her very last days. Mardell's trip home to be by Louis's side again was on Amtrak's Southwest Chief, a trip she'd always planned to take and one she surely would have enjoyed.
Services will be at Mifflin Township Cemetery May 21 11:30A, led by Peace Lutheran.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers to consider a donation at Franklin
Conservatory of Flowers, a place of great enjoyment to her and her family. We believe this will allow everyone that loved her to have a lasting
memory that also gives back to the City of Columbus.
