Margaret "Margo" Emma LaPointe, 58, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. She was born November 18, 1947, in Detroit Michigan, to John and Evelyn "Elvi" Sipola Ekdahl who survive in Columbus. Margo is also survived by her husband Howard J. LaPointe of Columbus; son, Nicolas (Michelle Kader) LaPointe of Grove City; daughter, Sarah (Jeremy Wolfe) LaPointe of Dublin and granddaughter, Haley. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Loretta LaPointe and brother, Steven Ekdahl. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 28, 2006, 1:00 p.m., at Grace of God Lutheran Church 1000 S. Demorest Rd., with Pastor Mark Diemer, officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 27, 2006 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio.
