Margaret Grace Miller

Margaret G. Miller, age 97, of Columbus passed away Tuesday night, April 20, 2021 at Darby Glenn, Hilliard, OH. She was born June 26, 1923, in Syracuse, Meigs County, OH, daughter of the late Royal and Ural (Cooper) Thomas. After graduation from Pomeroy High School, Margaret worked at Evans Grocery where she met Raymond Miller. They married in 1943. In the years following WWII the couple had four children and made many friends in the towns in West Virginia and Ohio where Raymond managed grocery stores. The family settled in Columbus, OH in 1960. The children grew up and Margaret went back to work at Ontario Department Store.

After retirement they set off to see America in their RV and spent winters in North Ft. Myers, FL.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Paul Thomas, and her beloved husband of 63 years.

Surviving her are daughters Marilyn (Michael) Thompson of Springfield, OH, Karen Kay Miller of Midlothian, VA, Sydney Scott of Grove City, OH and son Thomas (Dawn) Miller of Fulton, TX. She was blessed with six grandchildren: Sharon Fout, Weston & Jeremy Calbreath, Jessica Rice, Thomas Imes and Clayton Miller. Her family also numbers 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 9am until the time of Funeral Service at 10am at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Interment to follow at Jefferson Cemetery, Blacklick, OH.
