QUINICHETT
Margaret Pauline Quinichett was born on February 12, 1910, in Urbancrest, Ohio, born to Charles and Pauline (Kemper) Quinichett. She departed this life on Sunday, December 10, 2006, at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. Margaret was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline (Kemper) Quinichett; father, Charles Quinichett; grandparents, Henry and Elizabeth Kemper, Samuel and Ella Quinichett; sisters, Alberta (Quinichett) Patterson, Katherine (Quinichett) Bitticks, Henrietta (Quinichett) Mitchell, Leona Quinichett, Charlotte (Quinichett) Thurman; brothers, Joseph Quinichett, Cecil Quinichett, William Quinichett and Paul Quinichett.She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Fannie Collins, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. A special acknowledgement of niece, Elberta (Joe) Barnes Sr., niece, Vivian Larkins, Barbara Quinichett, Gene(George) Zorich, Jenny Wilson, Betty Buchanan, Lucy Evans, Sharon Sealock, Madge Markham, Karen and Tom Brokaw, Robert Williams and Dolores Johnson. Margaret attended Urbancrest Elementary and Grove City High School. She was a good hearted, loving person, who was very outgoing, outspoken and will be most remembered for her charming, witty personality, her willingness to lend a helping hand, her love for having yard sales, and making lap robes for nursing homes all over the city. She was baptized in Jesus Name in the Olentangy River by Elder J.C. Wilber many years ago and a faithful member at the Church of God on Wayne Avenue. Margaret received numerous awards, plaques and certificates for quilting, doing all types of crafts, volunteering with Life Care Alliance and various nursing homes, among other attributes. Margaret left a legacy for being one of the participants that carried the Olympic Torch in 1996 for Urbancrest, Ohio and she was also one of the Quinichett descendants of the First Black family to congregate to Urbancrest, Ohio. She will be truly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held 12:30PM Thursday, December 14, 2006, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 11:30AM until time of services. Elder Terry Stephens of True Vine Church of Apostolic Faith will be officiating with interment will be at Green Lawn Cemetery.
