Margaret Louise Smith

Smith, Margaret Louise, 84, of Newark, passed away March 14, 2025. She was born in Columbus on February 9, 1941 to the late Walter and Hazel (Monroe) Claar. She married Roy Everette Smith on April 1, 2000, and he preceded her in death on August 1, 2021.

Those left to cherish Ms. Margaret's memory included son, Charles "Chuck" Simmons and his wife Dawn; daughters, Venus Simmons and Annette Simmons; grandson, Vance Simmons; sisters, Georgia Gloyd, Betty Crowell, and Barbara Ashburn ; and many other family members and friends.

Along with her parents and her beloved husband, Margaret was preceded in death by brother, Walter (Sonny) Claar Jr.; and sister Rosemary Harris.
