She was born on September 15, 1959 to the late Charles and Beatrice (Watts) Hitchens in Columbus, OH. Maria is survived by her loving daughter Khourie (Brittany) Williams, grandchildren John Saunders Jr., Roderick Campbell and Shawnte Caldwell, siblings Ernest (Alfrieda) Watts, Charles (Cheryl) Hitchens, Patricia Herell, Diane Williams and Janet Martin.
