Marie Slane, 90, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Crown Pointe Care Center. She was born October 31, 1919, in Columbus, daughter of the late Frank and Mae Passwater Green. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Chauncey Slane; brothers, Frank and Floyd Green; sisters, Neva Bonner and Helen Bruning. She is survived by her son, Chauncey (Rachel) Slane; daughters, Constance (Floyd) McCormick and Carolyn (Tony) Flesch; brother, Jimmie Huddle; grandchildren, Angie (Mike) Davis, Craig (Edna) McCormick, Kim (Patrick) Harrity, Bobby (Jennee) McCormick, Karen (Ron) Zanco, Jennifer (David) Krumel, Tony Flesch and many great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2010 from 9:00-11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice, c/o Ohio Health Foundation 180 E. Broad St. Fl 32 Columbus, OH 43215.
