Marie Lou Demas, 84, of Gahanna, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 at her residence. She was born August 3, 1926, in Akron, daughter of the late Joseph M. and Alvisa M. Eichelberger Lang. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred J. Demas, son, Paul A. Demas and daughter-in-law, Melissa A. O'Kelley-Demas. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Christopher L. Demas and Dr. Jeffrey M. Demas; daughter-in-law, Christine Demas; grandchildren, Ashley, Anthony, Abigail, Mark, Adam, Nathan; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Aubrianna, Andrew and James. Visitation will be Monday, July 18, 2011, 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd Columbus. Graveside service will be Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Marie's name, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 870 Michigan Avenue, Columbus, OH 43215.
