Marie Pack, 87, of Grove City, passed away April 27, 2007. She was born April 3, 1920 in Stone Coal, West Virginia to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Herald) Marcum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess and daughters, Joanne Kretzer and Eileen, Juanita and Shelva Jean Pack. Marie is survived by her daughter, Lois (Tom) Becker; sons, Phillip Pack , Jesse (Georgia) Pack; sisters, Grace Fales, Stella Marcum, Callie Payne, Carol Gerhardt; brother, Lafeyette (Dean) Marcum; grandchildren, Steven (Jenny) Kretzer, Kevin Becker, Lisa (Rob) Cady, Jessica (Hank) Wilkes, Stephanie Becker, Brady Pack, Jeremy Pack and great grandchildren, Austin and Cassady Becker, Evelyn Kretzer, Trey and Tyson Cady. Marie was a member of the Greater Columbus Freewill Baptist Church and she sang in several family gospel quartets with her husband Jess throughout their lives together. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Monday, April 30, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the Greater Columbus Freewill Baptist Church 2546 Briggs Rd., Columbus, Ohio.
