Marlita Lynn Ward

June 14, 1961 - April 19, 2021

Marlita "Lita" Ward, age 59 of Columbus, OH took her last breath on Monday April 19 with family by her side. She was born June 14, 1961 to Irvin Eugene Ward and Emma Kathleen Maggiore.

Marlitas unconditional love and laughter would light up the world and everyone, strangers included, would always feel warm and welcomed by her larger than life smile and those opened arms to anyone she'd meet.

She worked in customer service but is most known for her 24 hour a day "family & friend counseling service" to all those who needed her loving ear and gentle voice that would guide you through or open your eyes.

She is survived by her loving husband and "sous chef" Marcos Morales, her daughter Melissa Ward, Sons Deric Howard and Marcos Morales Jr - along with her "baby" miss Piglet - her little shadow that never left her side and other fur-babies Boots, Katie, Samantha, Max, and of course her feathery one Sophia Marie. She is also survived by Sister, Jean "Ettie" Craft [Richard Toth], Brother, Christopher Harris [Cathy Roush], Nieces (daughters) Teresa Swisher and Sharon Belvis [Jorge Belvis] along with great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends including special friend Gerald O'Connell.

Marlita is preceded in death by her parents, Irvin Eugene Ward and Emma Kathleen Maggiore, her sister Kathy Lynn Harris, nephew (son) Gary Wayne Ratliff, her Grandparents and other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

May her love and light continue to shine bright in heaven, may her feet run free in the grass, may a gentle loving breeze always brush across her beautiful face and may the sun gently kiss her every day forever. Until we meet again momma.

"You can only have one mother"

You can only have one mother,
Patient, Kind and True,
No other friend in all the world
will be the same to you.

When other friends forsake you,
to mother you will return,
for all her loving kindness,
she asks nothing in return.

As we look upon her picture,
sweet memories we recall,
of a face so full of sunshine,
and a smile for one and all.

Sweet Jesus take this message,
to our dear mother up above,
Tell her how we miss her,
and give her all our love.
