Martha Jeanne Bonham

Martha Jeanne Bonham, age 98, passed away on January 24, 2024 at Arbor West Nursing Care in West Jefferson, Ohio, where she resided for the last 3 years. She was born on May 17, 1925 in Newark, Ohio to the late William A. Heckman and Wynonia W. (Richardson) Sanderson. Martha was a lifelong resident of Newark, Ohio but lived with her daughter Joy since 2003 in Galloway, Ohio. A graduate of Newark High School, class of 1944. Formerly employed by WCLT Radio, Licking County Recorders Office, Ohio Department of Transportation and Hughes Aircraft which was the former Newark Air Force Station. She was on the cradle roll at First Methodist Church and Charter Member of Heath Methodist Church and member of St Marks Methodist Church, Galloway, Ohio. She was also a past member of the BPW (Business & Professional Women) Club as well as the Licking County Women Democratic Party. Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald J. Bonham, granddaughter, Brittany W. Robinson, and great great grandson, Andrew Michael Ables. She is survived by her son, Gary L. (Sandy) Bonham, of Brandon, Florida, daughter, Vicki (Ernest) Prince, of Key Largo, Florida, daughter, Joy (Garry) Robinson, of Galloway, Ohio; grandchildren, Tricia (Kevin) Prince, of Cleveland, Tennessee, Tara Delatorre, of Key Largo, Florida, Howard L. (Christy) Davis Jr., of Brandon, Florida; 8 great grandchildren, Jocia Moran, Kaitlyn Sullivan, Dixie Davis, Haley Delatorre, Elias Delatorre IV, Howard Davis III, Waylan Davis, and Mara Hooper; 12 great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11:00am at Newark Memorial Gardens 4244 Marion Rd NE, Newark, OH 43055. Arrangements entrusted to the NEWCOMER SOUTHWEST CHAPEL.
