Martha June Harber, age 74 of Columbus, OH
Martha "June" Harber passed to her next home on July 18, 2022. Born in Jackson, OH, October 16, 1947 to the late James and Francis Burba Mason, June graduated from Miami Trace High School, Washington Courthouse in 1965. She devoted nearly 40 years to the Department of Education with the State of Ohio until retirement in 2002. June continued working until May 2022, establishing wonderful friendships at Walgreens where she was nominated as employee of the month numerous times and affectionately called "June Bug."
June enjoyed reading romance and mysteries and knitting. Among her favorite pastimes were playing slots and bingo. She loved, worked, and served with no judgment and an open heart.
June was preceded in death by sisters Catherine Sue Frazier and Linda Lou Mason, and brothers Wesley Lamar Mason, Russel Edward Mason, and James "Tex" Larry Mason. She is survived by son David Kent (Amy) Vujaklija, Jr. of Indiana and daughter Dena Harber (Travis) Chavis of Ohio, brothers Robert (Trish) Mason of Ohio, and John (Pauline) Mason of Florida, and sisters Anna Cain of Ohio, and Eva Smith of California. "Grandma" will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Nick, Emma, Kaylee, Travis "Bub" (Francis), Elisabeth, and Nathan. She was lovingly called "GG" by her great-grandson Ayden and was awaiting to welcome twins. June leaves behind 19 nieces and nephews, along with special friend Robert Chrysler.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Grove City, Ohio Saturday, July 30 10:00-12:00 Est. with a service at 12:00.
