Martha "Jean" McKinney, 85, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 in Worthington, Ohio.
She was born on January 14, 1937 in Manchester, Tennessee to the late Albert Elrod and Mary Lou Shelton.
Jean is survived by her children, Joseph (Donna) Stout, David McKinney, Brenda McKinney, Ann (Chuck) McKinney, Michael (Marianne) McKinney; grandchildren, Cory Williams, Jesse Williams, Andrew Williams, Nichole Grubb, Xavier Jones, Coleman (Dakota) McKinney, Richard Dylan McKinney, Cody McKinney, Michele (Travis) Reed, Sean McKinney, Rachelle (Danielle) King, Joe (Carrie) Stout; siblings, Patricia (Charlie) White, Clifton (Sandra) St. Clair, Faith (Pally) Renstrom, many great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Family was the most important thing to Jean. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Jean enjoyed cooking and spent most of her life owning and operating restaurants and diners. She also enjoyed swimming and going to the pool with her family.
Family will receive friends on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will follow immediately at 6:00 pm also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel.
