Martha Ann (Williams) Thomas, age 97, went to eternal life on Thursday, March 10, 2022.
She was born on August 21, 1924 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to Jesse and Martha (Davis) Williams.
Martha was married to the late Kenneth Thomas who lived to celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary. They moved to Columbus in 1952 and, after a few years, started the Ken Thomas Oil Company, where she took an active part in the business. In later years, she worked in the offices of Micro Industries. She was an active member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, served as a Deacon and led a Women's Circle for several years.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; sister Arline Kennedy, brothers Jesse, Charles, Roger and Bob Williams; daughters, Sandra Thomas and Merla Hopkins.
Martha is survived by son in law, James Hopkins; grandchildren, Misty Hopkins, Jimmy Hopkins; great-grandchildren, Anthony McKenzie and Avery Kaufman.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm on Thursday, March 24, 2023 at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 4131 N. High St, Columbus, OH, 43214 with Rev. Bill Gause officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Overbrook Presbyterian Church.
