Marvin D. Guyer, age 81, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007. Marvin was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in World War II. He was also a longtime member of the Ohio Operating Engineers. Marvin has gone to heaven to join Erma, his loving wife of 55 years; son, Michael D. Guyer; parents, Floyd and Vlasta Guyer; and brother, Floyd Guyer. Marvin is survived by his loving daughter, Sharon Guyer; step-son, Richard Zahner; sisters, Glenny Fowler and Pat Emmert; brother-in-law, Charles (Dorothy) Balrin; good friends, Theresa Messer and Jon McCleary; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would also like to say thank you to all of Marvins wonderful neighbors for all of their help. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Charity Newsies, 4300 Indianola Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43214. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel.
