Kyer
Marvin Halder Kyer, 82, of Grove City, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born June 23, 1926, in Wilmington, OH and was raised in Chillicothe, OH. Marv was the son of the late Halder and Ann Kyer. He is survived by his loving wife and caregiver, Thelma Jean (Hollback) Kyer; daughters, Valerie Todd, Kimberly Kyer and Marla (Robert) Eal; grandchildren, Kelly, Aaron and Adam (Jennifer) Todd, Nathan and Brendan Eal; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Lauren and Ethan Todd and a host of other loving family and friends. Marv was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and attended Ohio University until serving in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Signal Corps. He married Thelma in 1953 in South Webster, OH and they recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Marv retired from Denison Engineering/Abex Corp. He was a 60 year ham radio operator and enjoyed camping, fishing, photography, playing the piano and dining out with friends. Marv also attended Grove City United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Monday, July 7, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home S.W. Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in South Webster Cemetery.
