Mary E. Brewster, RN, 82, of Gahanna, after a courages and dignified battle with heart disease, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Born to the late George and Pearl (Lee) Flannery in Warren, OH., Mary is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Brewster; daughter, Mary Margaret Woomer; brothers, twin, Joe Flannery and Randy Houser; sisters, Billie Smart and Midge Stickel. Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Tim) Pratt and Judy (Mike) Pacifico; granddaughter, Jennifer Iqbal; great-grandchildren, April Day and Cierra Northrup; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend, Diane. Mary was a Registered Nurse for 25 years and especially enjoyed working with children and volunterred for the American Red Cross. She also wrote and received awards for her poetry. Mary was a wonderful compassionate mother, grandmother, and friend to many and will be missed by all. Mary has donated her body to OSU, Division of Anatomy. The family would like to give special thanks to Joyce, Tina, Todd, and the Mt. Carmel Hospice Team for their comfort and kindness extended during Mary's illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, 3049 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH.
