Mary Ellen Hastings, 73, Westerville, OH passed away Saturday, October 12, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Mary Ellen was born in Charleston, WV on August 5, 1940, to Frank and Rose (Schoolcraft) Walker and is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Paul E. Hastings and his children, Jill Swimm and Jeffrey Hastings; sisters, Robin Jeffries, Peggy McDonald, Cathy (Gregg) Brooks and Jeana (Roger) Petry; brothers, John (Rita) Reynolds and Eugene Reynolds; grandchildren, Lindsey, Abigail and Emily; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Mary Ellen graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School, Charleston, WV and was Secretary-Treasurer for DesignPro Ins. Group Inc. with offices in Westerville, OH.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, October 19, 2013, 3:00 PM-5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Memorial Service to follow at 5:00 PM.
