Mary F. Smith

Mary F. Smith, 79, of Columbus, OH, passed away, Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Mount Carmel West Hospital. Mary was born on December 27, 1930 to Raymond and Fannie (Fox) Welch. Mary worked as a dry cleaning press operator at Columbus Lace and Brown. She was a member of Southwest Freewill Baptist Church. Family includes, daughters, Lana (Perry) Knisely, Sarah (Thomas) Albrecht, Christie (James) Smith, Kimberly (Greg) Fohner all of Columbus, OH, Niza (Tim) Durfee of Fort Pierce, FL, sons, Royce (Cheryl) Smith of Logan, OH, Mark (Kay) Smith of Orient, OH, brothers, James Fox of North Carolina, grandchildren, Angie, Scott, Doug, Curtis, Jason, Richie, Tammy, Brett, Hutch, Kourtni, Brian, Jessica, Joey, Aliah, Jason, Sam, Zach, Shannon, Justin, Amanda, Melissa, Christal, Shawn and Jenny and 46 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Layanna Welch, Mae Akers, brothers, Cecil Welch, Charles Welch, son-in-law, Jeffery Smith, granddaughter, April Smith. She will be missed greatly by all of her loving family and friends. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM, Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Brian S. Smith at 2:00PM on Sunday, December 19, 2010 in the funeral home. Private family burial will be at a later date in Sunset Cemetery.
