Mary A. Galentine, age 98, of Columbus, passed away on May 26, 2022. She was born on October 10, 1923, to the late Fred and Rose (Mueller) Wygant.
Mary graduated from West High School in 1941, and married John (Jack) Galentine on January 31, 1942, in Greenup, KY.
Mary volunteered part-time at the Hilltop Record, a community newspaper in Columbus, Ohio. She lived on the Westside of Columbus until they moved to Indian Lake once Jack retired. She loved to put together jigsaw puzzles with her granddaughters Angie and Tina. She lived her life for her family.
Mary is survived by her sons, John (Marty) Galentine, Steve (Donna) Galentine, Son-In-Law, Charles Hix; Grandchildren, Steve (Angie) Galentine Jr., Tina (Pat) Davis, Lance (Lisa) Galentine, Angie (Dave) Lennon, Lois (Steve) Sloan; Great-Grandchildren, Madison (Daniel) Menter, Ricky (Breanne) Jacobs, Mike Lennon (Sarah Collins), Ted Jacobs, Ben Lennon, Jimmy Jacobs; and her great-great-granddaughter, Rosalie See.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Galentine; and her daughter, Rachel Hix.
In Honor of Mary's wishes, there will be no services held and Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband at Green Lawn Cemetery.
