Mary Ruth Hite died unexpectedly at home in Columbus, Ohio on July 2nd, 2021 from heart complications.
Loving memories of her are cherished by her two children, Mary Elizabeth Maenle and Robert Thomas Hite, her son-in-law, Garrick Lawrence Maenle, her two grandchildren Zoe Grace and Hayley Evelyn Maenle, extended family and dear friends.
Her loving husband of 50 years, Daniel Charles Hite, died two days later on July 4th, 2021 while in the hospital.
She was born in Dallas, Texas to Thomas Klough 'TK' Williams Jr. and Cornelia 'Nealie' Evelyn Magouirk on March 8th, 1940.
Mary earned a Master of Music Education degree from North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. She obtained music teaching certificates in Texas, and then later in New Jersey, where she met the love of her life, Dan, through mutual friends. They married in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, then together they moved to Ohio, where they raised their family, and cheered on the Buckeyes on football Saturdays. She retired from The Ohio State University Student Health Center in 2005.
Every summer, she and Dan would take the family on vacations and escape the city life for a while. She loved to read, play games, and tune in to Jeopardy. She was a long time member of the Cherry Creek Church of Christ. She was very fond of always having a cat around as part of her family.
A private ceremony will take place for her family, to be followed by a celebration of life in the future.
