Mary "Lucy" Hooser, 79, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 in Westerville, OH. She was born on September 28, 1936 in Hamlin, WV to Elmer and Nettie Stewart.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Glenna Fry; brother, Noah (Nora) Stewart; and brother-in-law, Billy Burton.
She is survived by husband of 61 years, Roy Hooser; sisters, Lilly Burton and Peggy (Charles) Riley; sister-in-law, Barbara Adkins; brothers-in-law, Clyde Fry and George Fry; and many other loving family members and friends.
Mary graduated from Hamlin High School in 1953. She started working for Kroger in 1956 where she retired after 32 years of employment. Mary was a member of the Local 57 Retirees Club for many years. She and her husband Roy loved to travel together and visited many parts of the United States and Europe. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Newcomer Funeral, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 1:00pm also at Newcomer Funeral, NE Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery.
