Mary Lorea Lewis, 89, left this world for her eternal heavenly home on January 22, 2022, 2 weeks before her 90th birthday, reuniting with her daughter and husband of 55 years.
Mary was born on February 4, 1932 in Milledgeville, Fayette County, Ohio to Samuel and Grace (Oakes) Saltz.
She was an exceptional woman , wife, mother, grandmother. She attained the rank of black belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1999, at the age of 67 and was a martial arts and self defense instructor for many years. She was a long- time devoted member of Crossroads Church (formerly Columbus Baptist Temple). Mary retired from Scioto Downs and Beulah Park.
Survived by daughters, Linda Collins and Deborah Lewis, son Dwight (Shari) Lewis, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Herbert Lewis, daughter, Shirley Hunsinger, granddaughter Susan Lawson, brothers, Victor, Clark and Lee and unnamed sister.
Calling hours and service will be held on February 4, 2022 (her 90th birthday). Friends and family may call from 10am until the time of Funeral Service at 12pm at Newcomer, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231. Interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH.

"In my Father's house are many mansions…I go to prepare a place for you…that where I am, there you may be also." John 14: 2, 3. We know she is now in one of those mansions.
