Mary Seagraves

Mary Seagraves, age 72, of Columbus, OH, passed away on February 2, 2025. She was born on October 21, 1952 to the late Robert and Janice (Hook) Bentz in Columbus, OH. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband John Seagraves, sisters Patty Bentz and Kitty Gollihue. Mary is survived by her loving children Amanda (Bryan Michaelis-Woodard) Seagraves and Justin (Brittany) Seagraves, siblings Connie Nightwine, Roberta Wagner, Treva Bentz, Frank Bentz, Bobby Bentz, Aggie Bentz and Judy Bentz, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was described by her loved ones as caring, thoughtful, selfless, and funny. She was the life of the party; an infamous storyteller whose entertaining, embellished tales will be forever in our hearts. 

Mary retired from Columbus Public Schools, where she worked as a school bus driver. She really enjoyed interacting with the kids on her bus every day. 

In her free time, Mary enjoyed watching westerns, NASCAR, and playing card games online and with her family at get- togethers. Rumor has it, she never cheated. 

Per Mary's request, a private service will be held. 

A Celebration of Life Party will be held in March, date TBD. All who loved and knew her are encouraged to attend.
