Mary Marie Sellers

Mary Marie Sellers, a beloved matriarch, was born on August 27, 1928, in Galena, Ohio. She passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family. A proud graduate of Mifflin High School, Class of 1946, Mary dedicated a significant part of her life to her career as a bank teller at National City Bank, she enjoyed working until 79 years old. Mary was not only defined by her work ethic but also by her deep-seated love for her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her passion for nurturing and guiding the younger generation was evident in every interaction she had, and her home was a treasured haven filled with laughter and warmth.

She is survived by her devoted children: Nancy Dingess, Tom (Sherry) Sellers, Jeff (Collette) Sellers, and Susan (Bruce) Davis. Each of them carries forward the values and love she instilled in them, cherishing the beautiful family bonds they share. Mary also leaves behind her cherished sister, Joyce Linnabary, who was her steadfast friend and confidante.

Mary's grandchildren, who she adored immeasurably, include Shawn (Steve) Brooks, Courtney (Mark) Ferrar, Joe (Chris) Dingess, Rhonda Jennings Hollis, Chad (Sandi) Sellers, Randy (Dawn) Jennings, David (Kristin) Davis, Clint (Ashli) Davis, Ryan Davis, Leah (Matt) Johnson, Angela Sellers, Johnathan Sellers, Nate (Katie) Ebert, Daniel Ebert, and Rachel (Drew) Puttick. The joy and pride she felt for them were unparalleled, and her impact on their lives will echo for generations to come.

She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Lauren, Brooke, Kyle, Kara, Bradley, Dylan, Katie, Dakotah, Logan, Brady, Bailey, Adam, Andrew, Kimee Sue, Kailey, Gavin, Stryder, Brayden, Alex, Brooke, Camille, Judah, Eli, Selene and Amelia as well as great-great-grandchildren Carson, Grayson, Cane, and Isabella. Mary's heart expanded with each addition to her family, and she nurtured each relationship with love and affection.

Mary was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Burl Thomas Sellers, who was her partner in life. As well as her daughter, Sandra Sellers Jennings, son-in-law Joe Dingess, daughter-in-law Penny Sellers who were taken too soon. She also mourns the loss of her parents, Carl and Hazel Jackson, siblings Paul Jackson, Don Jackson, and Joann Shepard, brother-in-law Ed Linnabary, brother-in-law Russ Shepard, sister-in-law Jane Jackson, sister-in-law Lou Jackson.

Her life will be celebrated on February 1, 2025, at 11:00AM at the Northgate Church 51 Fourwinds Ct. Sunbury, Ohio, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember her.

Mary Marie Sellers was a beacon of love and strength, and while she may have left this world, her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
