Mary K. Ulrich, age 95, Passed away peacefully Tuesday October 5, 2021 at Ridgewood, Westerwood Senior Living (formerly Friendship Village) in Columbus Ohio.
Mary was born December 27, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio, to Fred Earl Oyer, and Florence May (McKinley) Oyer. She married the late Charles R. Ulrich, where they lived together for 60 years in the Columbus, Ohio area.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Charles, her sister Marjorie (Oyer) Mackey, and Grandson Jason Ulrich.
She is survived by her children, Fred (Sharon) Ulrich, Rebecca (William) Lathrop, John (Katrina) Ulrich; three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Mary worked for the Columbus city schools, and later the Ohio Dept. of Taxation.
While in retirement, Mary volunteered at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westerville. Mary was a member of the Columbus Miniature Society, and was an Auxiliary member of the local LST Association.
She was a huge Cleveland Indians fan, enjoyed gardening, and was an avid reader.
Mary loved all animals but especially cats.
Mary was loved and will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank Capital City Hospice for all they did and how much they personally meant to Mary.
A Memorial Service is to be planned for a later date due to present Covid restrictions at Westerwood.
