Mary E. Williams

Mary E. Williams, age 85, passed away peacefully December 13, 2021. Mary was born in Irad, Kentucky to the late John and Corilda Moore, and is also preceded in death by Brothers Thomas and Bill Moore, and Sisters Betty Ault and Lucille Watson. Mary is survived by her husband of 66 years Hubert Williams, married December 24, 1954. Also surviving Mary, her Sister Maxine Wright of Obetz, her Brothers Milton (Barb) Moore of Columbus and Kenny (Donna) Moore of Blacklick. A host of beloved nieces and nephews that will all tell you she was their favorite, along with those who loved her as Mamaw, Paige, Byron, and Maddy, who was also her best friend. She was the Matriarch of her family and lovingly cared for each one of us and helped us along our journeys during her lifetime. Mary adored every child she knew. Mary retired from Grange Insurance after 38 years of service. She loved going to church, family gatherings, reunions in Kentucky, hayrides and pumpkin patches, shopping trips, sleepovers, trips to Slate Run, weekends at her home in Beaver, soccer games, and Christmas. Especially Christmas. She will always be remembered for the perfect buckeyes and desserts she made and making every holiday, birthday, and gathering so special. Mary could be as feisty as cat if you ruffled her tail feathers but also as sweet as a summer rain. She loved to laugh, had a contagious smile and the grace of the beautiful soul she was. She will be missed. Until we meet again, we will all do our best to "Be Pretty", "Be Nice" and "Be Sweet".

The visitation for Mary will be held Friday December 17, 2021, from 5pm to 7pm and funeral service Saturday December 18, 2021 at 10 am at Newcomer SW Chapel 3393 Broadway Grove City, OH 43123. Interment will follow at Obetz Cemetery. Services to be officiated by Pastor Charles Smith.
