Matthew A. Adams

Matthew A. Adams, 62, of Powell, OH, passed away on December 6, 2023. He was born on September 25, 1961 in Wadsworth, OH.

Matt grew up in Rittman, OH, and was a member of the Grace Brethren Church and a 1980 graduate of Rittman High School. He attended The Ohio State University and was a lifelong Buckeye fan. Matt had a 30 year career in sales and applications of commercial security systems for various companies around the Columbus area. Matt loved golfing, family vacations at the beach, and all dogs. He was fondly known by all as the "Dog Whisperer."

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mildred (Jones) Adams

Surviving family includes wife of 29 years, Kristie, sons, Jake Adams, Alex Adams, brother, Mark (Ruth) Adams, cousin, Terri Hedges, sister-in-law, Kathie (Larry) Morrison, nieces Nicole (Tim) Scripko, Jill (Eric) Buracker, nephew, Andrew (Jessica) Morrison, a great-nephew Andrew, and great-nieces Abby, Joey, Mackinze, and Leah. He also leaves behind Chloe, his latest golden retriever.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10am to 12pm, on Friday January 12, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH 43065, where a Celebration of Life will begin at 12pm.
