Matthew Mitchell, age 52, passed away on December 29, 2021. He was born on April 9, 1969 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Marsha and David Mitchell.
Matt was proud to be a Corporal for the South Vienna Police Department. He loved serving his community. Matt loved having cook-outs and bonfires with family and friends.
He is survived by his fiancé, Brooke Tigyer; son, Christian; daughter, Calianna; son, Jordan; siblings, Tim (Jessica) Mitchell and Tamara (Jeff) Sutton; nieces and nephews, Mandy, Erin, Tyler, Trevor; his brothers and sisters in uniform.
The visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Newcomer-SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway in Grove City, Ohio 43123. The FOP Service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Brooke to assist with the funeral expenses.
