Matthew Ryan Newman

Matthew (Matt) Newman, age 38, had his Homecoming January 14, 2023. He is survived by his parents, Tim and Jan Newman, brothers Bob Newman (Shanna,) and Kenny Newman, and his nephew Braxton Charters. Matt attended Groveport Madison HS and was a graduate of Eastland Career Center. After high school Matt moved to eastern Ohio. He was a country boy at heart and loved Mud Truck events, racing dirt bikes, and trail rides on 4- wheelers. His favorite place was Pine Valley Sportsman Club, where he loved to fish, trade stories with his buddies (both young and old,) and spend time with friends. Adena Village in eastern Ohio was his home base after graduation. When his health deteriorated, he moved back to his childhood home in Columbus. He was blessed to have a loving and compassionate team of people from Capital City Hospice become a second family; special thanks to Emileigh, Jaeda, Julie, Arye, Natalie, and Danielle. In memory of Matt, celebrate life's simple joys, be kind and patient with people God puts in your path, and keep loved ones close.
