Matthew Ryan Blevins, 36, of Columbus, OH, passed away April 13, 2011. He was born on October 15, 1974 in Columbus, OH to Raleigh J. and Lois C. (May) Blevins. Surviving family includes, father, Raleigh J. Blevins Jr., mother, Lois C. Blevins-Silver, brother, Chris (Suzy) Blevins, half-sister, Rebecca Blevins, special friend, Erin Marie and furry companion, Gayla. Matthew was a 15 year veteran with the Columbus Fire Department assigned to Fire Alarm Office 2-Unit and a Paramedic firefighter. He was an avid body builder, animal lover and activist. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm, Thursday, April 21, 2011 and Friday, April 22, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00am, Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Victorious Living Christian Center, 2735 Columbus Street, Grove City, OH, where additional visitation will be held from 9:00am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Please donate to an animal charity of your choice in memory of Matthew.
