Maxine Snyder

Maxine Snyder, 91, formerly of Grove City, passed away at home in VA on December 19, 2022. She was born on February 14, 1931, in Denton, KY to the late Cecil and Effie (Wilburn) Lucas. Maxine was a Sunday school teacher and long-time member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and loved gardening, crocheting, and making beautiful quilts. She is survived by children Brenda (Michael) Gilbert, Charles T. Maddox and Linda Howes; grandchildren Christopher, Brittany, Carl Robert III (Nadine), Charles (Teresa) and Adam; great-grandchildren Henry, Charlotte, Christopher, Logan, Lucas, Alex and Ada; great-great-granddaughter Autumn; Sister, Betty Maxwell; Several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Lloyd Snyder, first husband Homer Maddox; brothers Carl, Russel Lee, and Luther Lucas; sister Lorine Koontz; son in-law Carl Howes II.

Family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 5-8p.

Funeral service at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 2525 Gantz Rd., Grove City, Ohio on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11am with Rev. Brandon Wilson officiating.

Burial to follow at Obetz Cemetery, Obetz, Ohio.
