THOMPSON
M. Maxine (Spurlock)Thompson, 89, of Columbus, formerly of Morrisvale, WV, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2012 in Columbus at Columbus West Park Nursing Facilities. She was born in Leet, Lincoln Co., WV. , on November 15, 1922. She was retired from Columbus Public School System as a teacher's aide at West Board & Dana Elementary Schools. Maxine also worked for Superior Photo Lab as an office assistant. She was married for 58 years, and was preceded in death by her loving husband Bernard W., parents; Albert Watson & Rose Ann (Payne) Spurlock, son Paul G., and brother James O. Survived by sons, Bernard Eugene (Gay) Thompson of Grove City and Glen Dale (Pat) Thompson of Columbus; brothers, Jesse of Lakeland, Fl, Charles of Satsuma, Fl.; sisters, Betty Perry of South Bloomfield, Oh and G. Judi Hurst of Providence, RI; brother- in-law, Johnnie E. Thompson of Glen Bernie, MD; sister- in-law, Glenna Workman of Twilight, WV.; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 24, 6-8 p.m. with funeral services on Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home 3393 Broadway, in Grove City, Ohio with Pastor Doyle A. Jackson officiating.
