Melanie Sue Wamack, 52, of Columbus, Ohio passed away February 15, 2022. She was born on July 18, 1969 in Columbus to the late Carol Anna Wamack.
She is preceded in death by mother; step-father, Al Young.
Melanie grew up in the Short North, attending Thurber Elementary, Everett Junior High and East High School with best friends Kathy and Teresa. She worked in construction as an admin and office manager. Melanie bought her first home in 2006. In 2018, she witnessed her daughter Alissa marry the love of her life and in 2020, the birth of her first granddaughter. She gave her heart to the Lord at Westside Freewill Baptist Church. Melanie enjoyed yard-saling, gardening, crafts, karaoke and taking walks.
Surviving family includes daughter, Alissa Allen; son-in-law, Shane Allen; granddaughter, Kylie Allen; sisters, Kim Smart, Lisa Wamack; nephews, Kyle Bailey, Shane Bailey, CJ Tracy; many great-nieces and nephews; special friend, Brian Fox; lifelong friends, Laura Turner-Rivera, Bonnie and Gus Thorton, Ginny and Joe Thomas; bonus nieces, Khristy Simmons, Pamela Fain, Tiffany Kroeger; along with many others.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the funeral home.
