Melissa Adkins, 74, of Columbus, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011. She was born August 31, 1936, in Ranger, WV, daughter of the late Taylor and Isabelle Toppings Osborn. In addition to her parents Melissa was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Adkins; infant daughter, Ramona Adkins; siblings, Edna Cyfers, Edgar Osborn, Harvey Osborn, Hattie McClellan, Henry Osborn, Thomas Osborn, Polly Cyfers, Relma McClellan and Marie Stewart. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses- Forest Park Congregation. Melissa is survived by her sons, Bernard (Margaret) Adkins, Rick (Susan) Adkins, Darren (Kimberly) Adkins, Larry (Laura) Adkins and Anthony (Leah) Adkins; daughter, Relma Joan (Clarence) Trout; brothers, Monroe (Sandy) Osborn and Taylor (Midge) Osborn; grandchildren, Melissa (Chris) Dunn, Scott (Faith), Amanda, Bethany, Deena Adkins; great grandchildren, Aviyon, Disaii, Marley and Zayden. Memorial service will be Monday, February 28, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4151 Hickman Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43224, with Jim VanHoose, officiating.
