Melody Ann Blankenship, 52, of Columbus, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born November 23, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Noel E. and Sandra (Rushin) Miller.
She worked for 28 years with Chase Bank. Melody was a member of both the Indian Lake Moose and Indian Lake Eagles for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to various locations to enter their Street Rods in car shows. Melody's favorite times were spent at Indian Lake on the weekends with her family and friends.
Survived by her husband of 27 years, Rick Blankenship; sons, Randy L. and fiancé, Kate, Dustin Flannery; one very special granddaughter Erin Ann Blankenship; brothers and sisters, Cindy, John (Pam), Juanita, Noel Jr.; uncle, Roger Miller; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, where friends may call two hours prior to services from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Pastor Jim Clonch will officiate. Burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
