Melvin J. Boggs

Melvin Jerry Boggs, age 92, passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones on January 7, 2023. He was born on March 28, 1930 in Columbus to the late Myrtle and William Quentin Boggs.

Preceded in death by his wife Delores.

Left to cherish his memory is daughter, Vickie (Jim) Dabravalskas, grandchildren, Christine Lipian, Shawn (Tracy) Dabravalskas, great-grandchildren, Emily, Kenny, Angela, Faith, Elora and Jovi, brothers, Eddie (Marilyn) Boggs, Fred Boggs and sister-in-law, Joann Boggs and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Jerry was a devoted husband to wife, Delores for 70 years. Family was all important to him. He was an avid aviator all his adult life building and owning many airplanes. He was a member of the Quiet Birdmen. He did auto painting and repair by profession working with several race car teams including Bobby Rahal's team.

The family would like to express our thanks and appreciation to Pam Miller and Charlotte Samson who gave Jerry care and companionship for the last two years.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at 10am, Friday, January 13, 2023. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
