Mercedes Jane Cutshall-Adams, 87, of Ashville, formerly of Grove City, entered the spirit world on Thursday, March 12, 2009. Preceded in death by eternal companion, Ivan Harold Adams; daughter, Candace; grandson, Seth; parents, John D. Cutshall and Mary Stapleton-Cutshall; 3 sisters; and 3 brothers. Survived by daughter, Doris (Wade) Dunham of Ashville; son, Timothy (Michele) Adams of Westerville; sister, Marcella Voss of Galion; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. Mercedes devoted her life to caring for and serving everyone she knew, especially children. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints, serving in the Relief Society Presidency, the ward meeting house library, and as a temple patron. The family would like to thank the loving home health aides from Amity Home Health Care for making Mercedes final years more pleasant, especially Gala and Lois. Thanks also to the Mount Carmel Hospice team for their support. Visitation will be held Friday, March 13, 2009 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 10:00AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2400 Red Rock Blvd, Grove City, Ohio. Bishop R. Kirk Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Humanitarian Services, www.LDS.org.
