Merdis Delores Richard-Dickerson, 70, of Columbus went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2009 at Grant Medical Center. She was born July 4, 1938, in Village, AR, daughter of the late Earl and Emma Eutsy Richard. Merdis is survived by her husband, Ted; son, Melvin; daughter, Velma Joyce Dickerson; brothers, Isaiah "Ike" Sanders and Lawrence "L.D." French; sisters, Mary Richard-Utsey, Earlene (Levell) Hildreth; Leola (John) Crayton and Brenda Richard; grandchildren, Jermaine and Monique Dickerson and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home S.W. Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Monday, January 12, 2009 at 1:00 PM. Entombment will be in Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
