Merrilee Jonas Walker

Merrilee Jonas Walker of Grove City, Ohio passed away Sept 7th, 2022 at the age of 62. She is
preceded in death by husband John Walker, son Chris Walker, parents Robert and Lucy Jonas,
and niece Heather Ann Stockman. Survived by son Tom (Sonja) Walker, sister Beth Margello
Stockman, brother Ron (Peg) Margello, nieces Meghan (Doug) Cordial and Wendy Stockman, Nicole (Sam) Riffey, Jennifer (Chad) Rotruck,
grandsons Gabe and Corbin Walker, along with many great nieces and nephews, friends and loved
ones. Merrilee was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. After her time in the Air Force she spent much of her
career working for Nationwide Children's Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio and ended with MedFlight
of Ohio. She and John married Dec. 26th, 1998. She became a second mom to his two boys,
Chris and Tom. She was a proud Nana to Gabe and Corbin, and a loving sister, daughter, and
aunt to all of her nieces and nephews.
In her final days, she was showered with love from family, friends and most importantly her
roommate at Pataskala Oaks, Patty. There is no way we could leave out Patty. She was
Merrilee's roommate, newly found best friend, and overall guardian angel. Patty was our eyes,
ears, and advocate for Merrilee, when Merrilee needed it most. We can not thank her enough.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 am Monday Sept. 12th, 2022 at Bethel Lutheran Church,
4501 Hoover Rd. Grove City, Ohio 43123. Followed by a grave side service at St. Josephs
cemetery. Friends and family are invited to return to Bethel Lutheran for comfort food, hugs, and
memories. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to The ALS Association
Central and Southern Ohio Chapter.

Friends may call at the Bethel Lutheran Church 4501 Hoover Rd, Grove City, OH 43123 on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 10:00am until time of funeral service at 11:00am. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Pastor Peter Ray officiating.
