Merrill E. "Gene" Wright
Born July 20, 1930 to Roy A. and Etta M. (Bacus) Wright in Radcliff, OH.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Anna; daughters, Jean (Frank) Gusa, Pamela Wright, and Lisa (Clinton) Shirkey; sons, Craig (Susan) Wright, Gregg (Nellie) Wright; grandchildren, Steven (Holly) Shirkey, Ryan Wright, Travis and Trevor Wright, and Kylie Wright; great-grandchildren, Erika and Erin Wright, Emily and Alex Shirkey, Avery; brothers, John, James, and Larry Wright; sister, Yvonne Cattee.
In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 7 sisters.
Gene served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from General Motors-Fisher Body. Member of UAW Local 969. Gene loved sports, including horse racing, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, Bengals, Cleveland Indians and Browns.
The family would like to thank OhioHealth Hospice for their kindness and care during Gene's illness.

Visitation Friday, May 14, 2021 from 1pm until time of Funeral Service at 2pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Interment to follow at Fernwood Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
